When Bruce Dancik wanted a good home for his beloved collection of angling books and ephemera, he turned to Bruce Peel Special Collections. Video was created to highlight the inner workings of the Bruce Peel Special Collections facilities at the University of Alberta.

As a pioneering leader in forestry, Dr. Peter Murphy helped to launch UAlberta’s forestry program 50 years ago. His daughter, Barb Eberlein, is honouring his 70-year career with the Dr. Peter J. Murphy Award in Forestry, supporting the foresters of tomorrow.

The UAlberta Cinnamon Buns: Home Edition.

When New Trail magazine previously published a letter to the editor about the famous Tuck Shop cinnamon buns, we received hundreds of responses from alumni sharing memories and asking for the recipe. In response we created this video with an at-home version of the recipe.

Donor-funded Steinway piano holds keys to student success.

Thanks to donors, a brand new Steinway Model D grand piano is now available to U of A music students. Listen as master of music student Andrea Pedro plays a movement from Suite de Danza Criollas by Alberto Ginastera. Pedro and music professor Jacques Després describe how the new piano will be an invaluable learning tool and will benefit students, faculty and music lovers alike.

Strong Girls, Strong Women: Young Indigenous Women’s Circle of Leadership.

As one of only a handful of Indigenous students in her school, J’Vin Bull’s days were lonely, stressful and marred by bullies who mocked her culture. One summer, J’Vin found the strength and pride she needed to stand tall. The University of Alberta Faculty of Education’s Young Indigenous Women’s Circle of Leadership is a direct response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada calls to action.
